After graduating from U.C. Irvine, I spent 5 years in a small town in
Japan immersed in the language and culture. I returned to the United
States to pursue a Master's Degree in Japanese. I graduated in May of
2004 and have been working steadily as a freelance translator ever since.
To stay up to date on cultural trends and linguistic developments, I
visit Japan on a regular basis -- in fact, I am in Japan right now!
I also read, watch Japanese television, and stay in touch with friends,
colleagues, and clients in Japan.
When I'm not translating you'll find me in ballet class, watching movies
with my husband, sewing or knitting.
